Meet our lead minister
Josh Brake
Josh leads Breakthrough with a heart for people to encounter Jesus and carry His love into their everyday lives.
Breakthrough was sent out by The Branch Church in Farmers Branch and Carrollton and is part of the Nexus church planting network.
Our beliefs
We are not formally aligned with a denomination. Our gatherings are centered on Jesus, with Spirit-filled worship, reverence for Communion, teaching from the Scriptures, and prayer ministry.
One God, the creator of all things, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily, and ascended to heaven as our Advocate.
The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, instructs, and empowers believers for godly living and service.
The Bible is God’s inspired word, without error in its original writings, and the final authority for Christians.
God’s saving grace calls people to faith, repentance, confession, baptism, and new life and ministry through the Holy Spirit.
All people will be bodily raised: believers in Christ to everlasting joy, and unbelievers to everlasting punishment.
Marriage is a lifelong, exclusive covenant between one man and one woman. The church’s statement defines this according to biological sex, determined by chromosomes and identified at birth by anatomy.
We’d love to meet you.
Join us for prayer, Scripture, and worship this Saturday, 5:00 to 6:30 PM at 1320 Holly Dr, Richardson.
